    Heather Gibson, PA-C

    Heather received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Neuroscience from Texas A&M University in 2010. She then completed a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013. After graduation, she joined the Surgical Oncology department at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Heather joined TGCPAA in 2015.

    Ashley received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Texas Tech University in 2003. She then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston receiving her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies in 2006. Upon graduation, she completed a surgical residency with Norwalk Hospital and Yale University School of Medicine. After completing the residency program, she returned to Texas and worked for 2 years with Orthopedic Trauma Associates in the Texas Medical Center. In 2008, she began her current position with MD Anderson Cancer Center in Interventional Radiology.

    Brooke Schweitzer, PA-C

    Brooke is a graduate of Des Moines University with a Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Her undergraduate degree was completed at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Biology, with minor degrees in Chemistry and Psychology. Upon graduation, she practiced emergency medicine and trauma at a critical access hospital in Kansas, where she also served as interim administrator. There, she also covered the family medicine clinic, two nursing homes, and patients on the ward. She then moved to Houston and began working at MD Anderson Cancer Center in plastic and reconstructive surgery where she currently practices. She is a didactic preceptor at Baylor College of Medicine, clinical PA preceptor for PA and medical students on surgical rotations. She teaches basic and advanced surgical workshops at MD Anderson and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA), where she also serves as a conference lecturer. Brooke is an active member of TGCPAA where she currently serves as the professional development chair. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Healthcare Administration program.

    Sara received her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2010. She then attended Baylor College of Medicine's PA Program, receiving her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2014. Upon graduation, she worked for a short period of time at an obstetrics and gynecology private practice prior to beginning her current position with the Sarcoma Medical Oncology Inpatient service at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Sara is also a member of the PA Public Relations Committee at MD Anderson.

    Nina (Carolina) Gomez, PA-C

    Nina graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. She took two years off and worked in the Office of Biostatistics at UTMB Galveston working with the Clinical Translational Research Center. She then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch Physician Assistant Studies Program, graduating in 2013. Shortly after, she moved to Houston to begin working at MD Anderson in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery, in the section of Ophthalmology, with primary focus in Oculoplastics.

    Lauren Gamble, PA-C

    Lauren graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch and graduated with a Master of Physician Assitant Studies in 2014. Lauren went on to complete a 12-month post-graduate PA surgical fellowship in neurosurgery affiliated with the Texas A&M Univeristy Health Science Center in Bryan, TX. In 2015, she moved to Houston and began working at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She is also a memeber of the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Comittee at MD Anderson.
