TGCPAA will be joining with Project C.U.R.E. monthly, an organization that helps deliver medical equipment and supplies to under resourced hospitals and clinics, to help sort medical supplies. Learn more about Project C.U.R.E here! https://projectcure.org/our-story

They are asking that we limit the number of volunteers to 10 people so that we maintain social distancing.

Please register on the Gulf Coast website as well as the Project Cure website. In the event you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration on our TGCPAA website so the next person on the waiting list can participate.

Please sign up for the event at least one week in advance of your volunteer session, following the steps below:

  • Click on your group’s web page on our volunteer site:
  • http://houtgcpaa.projectcure.volunteerhub.com/
  • New volunteers will create a profile. 
  • Read/approve the annual waiver of liability if you're new or if your waiver has expired. 
  • (Volunteers under 18 must print a copy of the waiver and bring the completed form when they come in order to volunteer.  This waiver will remain on file throughout 2020.)
  • Sign up for the event by clicking on the date/time for your group.

Clothing: Please wear closed-toed shoes. We also highly recommend that individuals wear comfortable clothes (for bending, kneeling, lifting, etc). Note that work may be done in the warehouse, which is not climate controlled, or in the sorting room, which is climate controlled. 

During your visit: Project C.U.R.E. Houston will first conduct a brief orientation and training for any new volunteers before starting our tasks for the day.

COVID-19: The safety of our volunteers and staff is our top priority. We are taking all possible precautions. During your volunteer time, we will be following CDC recommendations and all volunteers and staff are required to follow social distancing guidelines and wear a mask and gloves. If you have your own mask, please bring it to your volunteer session. Disposable masks will be provided if needed. Please wash your hands or use hand sanitizer throughout your volunteer session. Please do not come volunteer if you are feeling ill or have been in contact with someone feeling ill. Your support in maintaining a safe facility is tremendously appreciated!

Project C.U.R.E. Houston has a break room and refrigerator for storing any food items. We also have a water cooler.
